Hello everyone; I just wanted to write a brief post today to let you all know that I have not forgotten about you. Wednesday, my husband passed out when he was on his way to a regular appointment at his doctor's office. He hit a power pole and subsequently was taken to the doctor's office by my daughter as she had our other vehicle; they then transferred him by ambulance to the hospital.
He has a problem with his heart's electrical system; it does not fire right; and his sugar level, despite treatment was very high. Apparently the heart issue caused him to lose conscoiusness; he knew he was getting sick so he was trying to pull off the road and fortuinately only hit a pole! The accident was very low impact, but it still crushed poor Sparkles grille and caused her to lose one of her off road lights, but she is at the dealer as I write this getting ready to be all new again. I just returned from day two at the hospital. DH is in the CCU and I am able to spend the day with him. He had a temporary pacemaker implanted yesterday and is being monitored constantly; he will be having a small surgery tomorrow to implant the permanent one tomorrow a.m.
They say he will then be able most likely to return home tomorrow night. He is in great spirits and is acting like he is on a field trip. I am not so happy; I do not care that my Sparkle is hurt; I just want him to be all right. He has the capacity to drive me crazy at times, but I still need him to be here with me because I do love him!
I am thankful that Wed. was a cold a.m.; I had wanted to go to the farmers market as Wed is the only day my prim friend has her booth up; but we let my daughter use his truck as she is further from home then her previous post, so he would often take his bike to work on nice days so I would have Sparkle to treasure hunt with. This would have most likely been serious or even fatal. I saw the pole today; they were replacing it; it was the big one. We were lucky this time.
The other thing I want to share briefly is this; I came home to a nasty message to me in my inbox from someone I had emailed recently regarding an email I was sent seeking help for a missing child (allegedly missing) Well I don't always have time to check Snopes; and you know they have been wrong on a few occasions; well this person said I have pissed people off by forwarding the message concerning this child; well I will say this right now; I am physically and emotionally tired right now. I did not need to come home and find YOUR nasty message in my inbox!
I said to this person and I will say it here for ALL; I WILL ALWAYS ERR ON THE SIDE OF A CHILD! I am sorry that there are folks who have nothing better to do than make up stupid ass fake emails! But you know what on the chance that some kid is missing; and all I have to do is send an electronic message out; and it may help someone find their baby; guess what? I AM GONNA DO IT:
TELL ME THIS ; IS YOUR WORLD SO DAMN IMPORTANT THAT YOU CANNOT TAKE A SECOND TO LOOK AT A MESSAGE; AND IF YOU THINK IT IS FAKE THEN DELETE IT; OMG IT TAKES FIVE SECONDS OF YOUR PRECIOUS TIME TO DELETE A MESSAGE. AND BEFORE YOU WRITE ME BEING A NASTY YOU KNOW WHAT, WHY DON'T YOU THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU WANT PEOPLE TO DO IF YOUR CHILD WERE MISSING; GEE MAYBE WE'LL ALL JUST GET SO JADED THAT WE'LL JUST SAY HEY,IT IS A HOAX AND NOT EVEN BOTHER OURSELVES; IS THAT THE WORLD YOU REALLY WANT TO LIVE IN?
WELL,I DON'T! I AM GONNA DO WHAT I CAN TO HELP ANYONE THAT ASKS FOR IT;IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT;HIT THE FREAKING DELETE BUTTON; OMG HOW OLD ARE YOU? FIVE?
I am really sad that this is what this world is made of, people that do this kind of thing and people who respond in a nasty way to people who are genuinely trying to help someone. She accused me of scamming her? Tell me what the hell did she lose? I know I have lost all respect for anyone who would write me such a nasty note!
Thanks to my loyal bloggy friends for understanding and supporting me; I will always do the same for you as well; this rant is only for the person who felt it necessary to be nasty to me. Today is not the day to do that!

Oh my I hope everything will be all OK with your husband. He was very lucky that the accident wasn't worse then what happened. You must of been so scared and with all reason. Everything will turn out for the best you will see and you two will have many more years together.
What a shame that someone would write such a nasty email. I agree with you...if you don't want it, delete it! Don't have to send out nasty emails to others. And on such a bad day for you. What a way to dampen things :(
I hope tomorrow will be a better day and hubby will be coming home soon
Take care of yourself...
Sandy
MERRIE! I am so sorry to hear about your husband! I hope all turns out well. I will keep you and your family in my prayers!
As for the nasty email you received, just let it roll off your back. People like that just want to upset others and bring them down. You were already shaken and you're right, today was not the day! It was a lot less time to hit delete than type a nasty message!
oh Merrie... thannk goodness your husband is ok! mine also suffers from infibillation of the heart which makes it work irregularly and it too is a worrying condition, so he has to take care of himself. thinking of you and sending you positive vibes.Hope he is home soon.
Awwww, Im glad hubby is ok. Im praying for you both right now.
For this nasty email, delete it - its so not worth your time. You were doing a good thing and there is NO way to tell if its real or fake. If that person had any morals at all they wouldnt have been so awful to you! Dont worry about it. Just concentrate on hubby. Im here if you need to talk.

Swetie, the world is full of crazies. Please don't let some petty person ruin your day. Just delete it and forget it. Life is too short to worry about such nonsense!

I hope that cranky person gets a grip! Remember what happened when the boy cried wolf??? No one helped him. So....do we want a world filled with petty selfish people. I'm with you...hit the F-ing delete button. THAT's what it's for!!!!!
Honey...I hope your hubby is coming along fine. Foreget about Cranky Pants, and put your energy towards him. He's the important one.

Merrie,
I haven't been on-line for a few days as I was getting ready for my craft show and I just now read your blog. I'm so sorry to hear about what happen to your husband and how scared you must of been...But I'm gald to hear that he is doing better now and I'm sure you both can't wait for him to be able to come home.
You both are in my thoughts and prayers, dear friend. You take care and just forget about that e-mail you got as it is not worth worrying about.
Sending love and hugs to you,
Cindy
Merrie, Sending prayers to you and your DH.
And you go girl on the nasty email! I hate people like that!
Justina
I to have had a hard week and know how you feel...I am so thankful your dearly loved husband is doing ok...I will keep you both in my prayers...every little bit helps...You go girl and tell how it is....I am proud that you let it out....That at least had to make you feel better...When you get to be my age you know there is more inportant things in life then some stupid email...That is one thing I don't like about the internet...People feel they are anonymous & will write things that they would never say in person...Shame on that person for having all that hate in her heart...
Hugs
Sue
I have been away so I missed this until today. I am so sorry your hubby is havng this cardiac issue. I hope that everything works out and he is feels much better soon.
I am sorry about the nasty person. There is always a nice way to say something and there is no need for someone to be nasty like that. Makes you wonder how sad their life is that they need to be like that.
Keeping you in my thoughts!!hugs, Linda
I am sorry to hear about your husband and I will pray for you both. I had the same issue with the e-mail & got a lot of slack as well. If I e-mail you back with concern I hope it wasn't me that upset you as my intentions were not to upset in any way just to make sure whoever sent it knows it was a scam & otherswho had concern. me like your self fowarded it to my friends to help.. If someone insutted you from my list I appologize for them.. You will be in my prayers tonight,Sincerely, Laura
Oh Merrie, I have not kept up with my friends for awhile, I am so, so, sorry about your wonderful DH. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I did receive your email, and like you will era on the side of a child, it took that person much more time to email you than to hit the silly delete button. It is over and done.I will be praying for you and the family, xoxox
Im worried about you 2 and hope everything is well!
Are you kidding!? SOme people are just plain ignorant!! If there is any doubt in my mind as far as email, I will check snopes. THen I let whoever sent it to me know it is real or fake!! You did not originate it!! I think some people have nothing else better to do. I am sorry it upset you so! I am also so sorry to hear of your husbands heart! How scary for you!! I will keep you both in my heart and prayers! Don't let people who aren't lucky enough to realize what a special person you are, get you down. You have empathy, it is sad more people do not!!
Merrie, You have had your hands full. I had heard that somewhere about a nasty post. I'm only sorry you were the recipient. You were only trying to do a good thing. If people don't have something kind to say then don't say it. The blog is to make friends and encourage each other. I'm so sory that happened to you and always sorry about your husband. I've heard of many people who have had pace makers and they have a happy normal life. It's really a miracle what they can do. I pray for his recovery and for your peace of mind. Don't worry about the bad experience. You are so kind to others but there's always one out there. Have a great day. Hugs Tracey
